6 Days-Hanoi-Halong-Ho Chi Minh-Mekong Tour

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN HANOI

Welcome to Vietnam! Upon arrival in Hanoi, you’ll be greeted at the airport and privately transferred to your hotel for check-in and refreshments. (Note: Standard check-in time is 2:00 PM.) Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2: FULL-DAY HANOI CITY TOUR (B)

After breakfast, embark on a full-day tour to discover Hanoi’s cultural and historical landmarks:

• Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first university, built in 1070, and a masterpiece of traditional architecture.
• Tran Quoc Pagoda & West Lake – Hanoi’s oldest pagoda, dating back to the 6th century.
• Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & Ba Dinh Square – Visit the exterior of this important political site.
• One Pillar Pagoda – A unique 11th-century temple and one of Vietnam’s most iconic structures.
• Hanoi Ceramic Mosaic Mural – Created in 2010 to commemorate the city’s 1,000th anniversary.
• Dong Xuan Market – A bustling local market in the Old Quarter, great for souvenirs and local snacks.

Return to your hotel and overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 3: HANOI – HA LONG BAY CRUISE (B/L/D)

After an early breakfast, depart for Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Natural Wonders. Drive through scenic countryside and arrive at the harbor for your overnight cruise.

• Board a traditional wooden boat and cruise among limestone karsts.
• Enjoy a seafood lunch on board.
• Visit a floating village via sampan (small boat).
• Participate in a Vietnamese cooking class on deck.
• Watch the sunset, then enjoy a delicious dinner.

Spend the evening at leisure onboard – try squid fishing, have drinks, or simply relax on the sundeck.

DAY 4: HA LONG BAY – HANOI – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/Brunch)

Start your day with Tai Chi on the top deck followed by a light breakfast. Later:

• Explore a nearby cave.
• Return to the boat, check out, and enjoy brunch while cruising back to port.

Disembark and transfer to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 5: CU CHI TUNNELS & HO CHI MINH CITY TOUR (B)

• After breakfast, begin your day with a journey to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels:
• Explore the underground tunnel system used during the Vietnam War.
• Sample guerrilla-era snacks such as cassava and tea.

Return to the city for an afternoon tour:

• War Remnants Museum – A sobering look at Vietnam’s modern history.
• Notre Dame Cathedral and Central Post Office – French colonial architectural icons.
• Ben Thanh Market – Enjoy an hour to browse for souvenirs and local specialties.
• Return to the hotel. Evening at leisure.

DAY 6: MEKONG DELTA EXCURSION & DEPARTURE (B/L)

Start early for a full-day exploration of the lush Mekong Delta:

• Drive 2 hours to My Tho, then take a boat across the Tien River to Ben Tre.
• Visit floating fish farms and markets.
• Cruise through the narrow Xep Canal, visit a coconut workshop, and sample tropical fruits while enjoying traditional music.
• Ride a Xe Loi (motorized rickshaw) through the village to Mr. Nam Ngo’s orchard, and taste local honey tea.
• Enjoy a rowing boat ride along shaded water palm creeks.
• Lunch on one of the river islets, then visit a coconut candy workshop.
• After the tour, return to Ho Chi Minh City for your airport transfer and onward flight.
