ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Paro & Transfer to Thimphu

Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you’ll be greeted by stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. After a warm welcome, you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. In the evening, visit the magnificent Tashichoe Dzong, a fortress that houses the throne room of the King and serves as the center for monastic activities. Spend the night in Thimphu, preparing for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing

Kick off your day with a nourishing breakfast before setting out to explore the vibrant city of Thimphu. Visit the King’s Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in honor of the Third King, followed by a trip to the Buddha Point, where a towering 169-foot statue of Buddha awaits. Explore the National Library, home to ancient Bhutanese texts, and learn about traditional paper-making at the Jungshi Handmade Paper Factory. The day ends with a visit to the Takin Preservation Centre, a sanctuary for Bhutan’s national animal. Return to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening exploring Thimphu’s vibrant streets.

Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha

After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Punakha, the ancient capital of Bhutan. En route, stop at Hongtsho Village to have your permit stamped and sample delicious local apple juice. Cross the Dochula Pass, famous for its 108 memorial stupas, and enjoy panoramic views of the Himalayan range. Day 4: Punakha to Phobjikha Valley and Return

Day 6: Explore Paro – Chele La Pass or Tiger’s Nest

Choose between two unforgettable experiences today. Option 1: Drive to Chele La Pass, where you’ll witness breathtaking views and colorful Himalayan flora. Option 2: Hike to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched on a cliff 1,000 meters above the valley. The trek takes about 2.5 hours, and you can continue to a viewpoint for a closer look at the monastery. Afterward, enjoy lunch and some leisure time in Paro Bazar for last-minute shopping. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 7: Departure from Paro

After breakfast, enjoy your final moments in Bhutan. A representative will assist you with your transfer back to Paro International Airport for your departure.
