You will arrive in Pokhara, a lakeside city, known for its tranquility and stunning views of the Annapurna Range. After settling into your hotel, you can spend the day exploring the city, visiting Phewa Lake, or strolling through the markets. Rest well as your trekking adventure begins the next day.
The trek begins with a picturesque drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes before starting the walking journey. From here, the walk begins, passing through lush forests, waterfalls, and charming villages. After about 4-5 hours of trekking, you will reach Tikhedhunga, where you’ll stay overnight in a local guesthouse. The trek offers a gentle introduction, with scenic views of terraced fields along the way.
The day starts with a steep ascent up to Ulleri, where you’ll climb more than 3,000 stone steps. The trail continues through rhododendron forests, which bloom beautifully in the spring, making this one of the most scenic sections of the trek. After 5-6 hours, you will arrive at Ghorepani, a charming village with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Overnight in a guesthouse.
You will wake up early to trek up to Poonhill for the breathtaking sunrise view. As the sun rises, it illuminates the peaks of Dhaulagiri (7th highest mountain in the world) and Annapurna I (10th highest mountain), along with other famous peaks like Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Himchuli. After enjoying the view, you’ll trek down to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing to Tadapani. The trek to Tadapani takes about 4-5 hours and passes through beautiful forests. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Today’s trek descends to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village known for its cultural heritage and stone houses. Along the way, you’ll walk through lush forests with views of the Annapurna range following you. Once in Ghandruk, you can explore the village, visit the local museum, and enjoy the hospitality of the Gurung people. This village is also a famous stop for those trekking to the Annapurna Base Camp. Overnight in a guesthouse.
The final day of your trek takes you down to Nayapul, passing through more terraced fields and small villages. After about 3-4 hours of trekking, you will arrive in Nayapul, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to Pokhara. Enjoy your evening relaxing by the lakeside or exploring more of the city. Overnight in a hotel.
After breakfast, depending on your travel plans, you can either return to Kathmandu or continue your journey exploring more of Nepal.
