ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our airport representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. You will then be transferred to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle.

After checking into your hotel and a brief rest, prepare for a half-day guided sightseeing tour of the city, visiting two of its UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Kathmandu Durbar Square

This complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples, constructed between the 12th and 18th centuries, was once the seat of the ancient Malla kings of Kathmandu. An intriguing highlight is the 17th-century stone inscription embedded in the palace wall, featuring writings in 15 languages. The Durbar Square serves as the social, religious, and urban focal point of the city, housing three museums within the palace.

Swoyambhunath Stupa (The Monkey Temple)

Perched atop a hillock, the stupa overlooks the valley and is one of the holiest Buddhist sites in Nepal. Its establishment is linked to the creation of the Kathmandu Valley from a primordial lake. Known as ‘Samhengu’ or the Monkey Temple, it is inhabited by countless monkeys.

Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast Included.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Pokhara

After an early breakfast, we head to Pokhara on a tourist bus, van, or car, depending on the group size. The scenic drive offers inspiring views of mountains, Himalayan rivers, and picturesque hilltop villages.

Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast Included.

Day 3: Sunrise at Sarangkot & Sightseeing in Pokhara

Wake up early to witness the sunrise from Sarangkot Hill. A 45-minute drive followed by a 25-minute hike takes us to the viewpoint, the best spot in Pokhara to admire the Himalayas. Be mesmerized by the golden sun rising over the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak), along with views of the Pokhara Valley and Lake Phewa. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Later, visit the following sites:

Bindhabasini Temple

Located in the center of a historic bazaar, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, another manifestation of Shakti. The surrounding park grounds offer a peaceful picnic and relaxation area.

Davis Fall

Locally known as Patale Chhango, this natural wonder is where the stream from Fewa Lake tumbles into a deep gorge.

Gupteshwor Cave

This revered cave, situated 2 km from Pokhara airport, features a long entrance across from Davis Fall. It contains spacious rooms and passages requiring crawling on all fours, holding significant value for Hindus due to the phallic symbol of Lord Shiva preserved within.

Phewa Lake and Barahi Temple

As the second-largest lake in Nepal, Phewa Lake sits at 800 m above sea level, featuring the important Barahi Island Temple dedicated to the female force Shakti. The lake reflects the majestic Mt. Machhapuchhare and Annapurna, with lush forests on its southern slopes.

Seti River Gorge

This natural marvel, carved by the Seti-Gandaki River, provides breathtaking views from the Singh Bridge, Mahendrapool, and the Prithvi Highway Bridge.

Tibetan Refugee Camp

The Tibetan village Tashiling in the south and Tashi Palkhel in the north are renowned for producing woollen carpets and handicrafts, with original Tibetan settlers arriving in the 1950s.

Overnight at Hotel. Breakfast Included.

Day 4: Pokhara to Lumbini

Today, we transfer from Pokhara to Lumbini (200 km / 6 hours drive) in a private tourist vehicle. Upon arrival, check into your hotel.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, attracts pilgrims from around the world. The Sacred Garden, where the ‘Enlightened One’ was born, and the Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka, are significant landmarks, alongside numerous architecturally stunning temples, stupas, and monasteries built by various international Buddhist communities.

Day 5: Exploring Lumbini

Lumbini is hallowed ground as Shakyamuni Buddha was born here over twenty-five centuries ago, making it a vital pilgrimage site for Buddhists globally. Excavations have revealed the ruins of the old city and various artifacts. Key landmarks include the Maya Devi Temple and the Ashoka Pillar, which confirms Buddha’s birthplace.

Later, transfer from Lumbini to Chitwan (approximately 155 km / 4 hours drive). Upon arrival, check into your hotel via jeep. The camp manager will provide a briefing about the program and activities.

Later, enjoy an elephant ride or jeep safari, followed by an evening slide show on Chitwan National Park.

Overnight at Resort. Breakfast and Dinner Included.

Day 6: Wildlife Activities in Chitwan

Start your day with a wake-up call followed by tea or coffee, then proceed for canoeing or a jeep safari.

Experience a traditional dugout canoe trip down the Rapti River, observing aquatic birds and riverside wildlife. The jeep safari begins at the canoe’s end point, covering approximately 10 km and offering chances to see rare wildlife. Visit the elephant breeding center and spend time with the majestic tuskers. You can also relax by the pool or on your verandah.
