ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Vientiane, Laos

Arrive in Vientiane, the laid-back capital of Laos. Meet your guide and fellow travelers for a welcome meeting. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Lao dinner along the Mekong River.

Day 2: Vientiane Exploration

Spend the day exploring the cultural and historical highlights of Vientiane. Visit Wat Si Saket, Patuxai Monument, and the COPE Center, which supports UXO survivors.

Day 3: High-Speed Train to Vang Vieng

Board a scenic Lao-China high-speed train to Vang Vieng, known for its karst mountain landscapes and riverside charm. Spend the afternoon exploring or relax in the natural surroundings.

Optional Activities:

  • Tubing or kayaking on Nam Song River.
  • Sunset viewpoints or caves.

Day 4: Free Day in Vang Vieng

Enjoy a full day of adventure. Go caving, hiking, or explore nearby Blue Lagoons. For a relaxed pace, rent a bicycle and ride through the rice fields.

Optional Activities:

  • Tham Chang Cave.
  • Ziplining or hot air ballooning (optional upgrade).

Day 5: Train to Luang Prabang

Take a morning train to the UNESCO-listed town of Luang Prabang. On arrival, explore the colonial-era charm, vibrant markets, and tranquil temples.

Evening:

  • Climb Mount Phu Si for panoramic sunset views
  • Visit Talad Mued Night Market with a local BBQ dinner

Day 6: Mekong Cruise & Kuang Si Waterfalls

Cruise the Mekong River to the sacred Pak Ou Caves, filled with thousands of Buddha images. In the afternoon, swim or relax at the turquoise pools of Kuang Si Waterfalls.

Day 7: Luang Prabang Free Day

A free day to explore at your pace. Wake early to witness the alms-giving ceremony, visit the Royal Palace Museum, or join a Laotian cooking class.

Day 8: Drive to Nan, Thailand

Cross the border at Muang Ngeun, entering northern Thailand. Arrive in Nan, a lesser-known gem filled with art, temples, and history. Visit Wat Phumin, known for its storytelling murals.

Note: Border formalities will be assisted by your guide.

Day 9: Explore Nan & Pua District

Discover Nan’s slow life. Visit a local art gallery or museum, then head to Pua, a quaint mountain town known for traditional weaving. Meet artisans and learn about their textile craft.

Day 10: Transfer to Chiang Mai

Take a scenic bus ride west to Chiang Mai, northern Thailand’s cultural hub. After checking in, you can relax or explore the Old City temples and night markets.

Day 11: Free Day in Chiang Mai

Explore Doi Suthep Temple, join a Muay Thai class, enjoy a Thai massage, or visit an elephant sanctuary (ethical only). You could also take a Thai cooking class.

Day 12: Chiang Mai to Bangkok by Overnight Train

Spend the morning at leisure. In the evening, board the comfortable overnight sleeper train to Bangkok. Enjoy local snacks and views along the way

Day 13: Arrival in Bangkok & Departure

Arrive in Bangkok in the morning. Depending on your flight, you may explore Khao San Road, visit the Grand Palace, or shop at Chatuchak Market before transferring to the airport for departure.
